The Nut House
Tucked away facing the Estate Vineyard was a 1943 walnut-drying building, which we completely refurbished using all reclaimed wood from an old mill in Dallas, Oregon, creating an intimate space with rustic charm that reflects the history of our property. This new private tasting space showcases our reserve and library wines, hosts private events and dinners, as well as our bi-annual Ambassador Wine Club Tastings. The Nut House is a place where we focus on the authentic wines Winemaker Andrew Kirkland crafts from our 43-year-old vineyard. It stands after 80 years as an investment in our future and our commitment to building community through great wine, great people, and a great place.

The new Ruby Private Seated Tasting hosted in The Nut House with our Estate Wine Educator takes a deep dive into all things Ruby. Explore multiple vintages of our Old Vine Estate and Reserve Wines while taking in the view of our Estate Vineyard and the Chehalem Mountains. For us at Ruby Vineyard, the best part of wine tasting is selecting the wines to add to your cellar and we have designed this experience with the collector in mind. The price for this two hour experience is $85 per person ($75 per person for Wine Club Members) and includes a specialty cheese and charcuterie accompaniment. Please allow 48 hours in advance to book this special experience.
